When should I visit Kashmir for snow?
Winter, broadly December to February, is the main season to consider for a snow-focused Gulmarg holiday. Kashmir Winter Escape gives you two Gulmarg nights, with a Srinagar night at each end of the five-day trip. Fresh snowfall depends on weather.
Two nights leave a full day in Gulmarg rather than only a return drive from Srinagar. Snow cover, road access and activity operation vary with conditions. Share your travel month and snow priorities so we can check the route and transfer arrangements before you book.
Gulmarg through the seasonsIs Kashmir safe to visit right now?
We are a J&K-registered team based in Srinagar, and we plan every trip around the current situation. We follow official travel advisories for your dates, and if a place is closed or advised against, we change the route before you travel.
Your private car and driver stay with you for the agreed itinerary, and our Srinagar team stays in touch until you fly home. Ask us about your route when you enquire and we will tell you plainly what is open. If an official restriction affects a booked service, our cancellation policy explains your options.
Closures, weather and your optionsAre winter transfers private, and are rooms heated?
Your main vehicle and any arranged local or winter cab are private to your party. We confirm the heating type, operating hours and any extra charge at each hotel before booking; a star category alone does not describe the heating.
Pack warm layers and footwear suitable for winter conditions. Snow can affect the mountain transfer, so this route returns to Srinagar for the final night. Send your flight time when enquiring so we can check the departure plan and any buffer needed.
Are Gondola tickets and ski lessons included?
Standard includes Gondola Phase 1. Premium adds a 60-minute beginner ski lesson. Luxury includes both Gondola phases and a 120-minute lesson. Included lessons cover the instructor, ski equipment and helmet.
Gondola phases are distinct: Phase 1 reaches Kongdoori and Phase 2 continues higher towards Apharwat. Tickets require an available slot and operation depends on conditions. We check the requested phase and timing; the official cable-car site carries booking notices.
